Random...

Last Sunday after church, Rob and I enjoyed a walk and the beautiful weather. Not that this has anything at all to do with wedding plans, but I though you all would like these pics. We have to take time to relax and de-stress sometimes, ya know?

Dresses

Here are some pics of the bridesmaids dresses. I couldn't find any that I really liked, so Mom and Kelsey agreed to help make some. Actually, they are pretty much doing it all. The color is going to be navy blue. As soon as the first one is done, I'll put up some more pics. I like that this is actually a top and a skirt. I think they will be flattering to all body types.

Locations

We have our locations picked out! The ceremony will be at Oak Grove Baptist and the reception at the Richlin Ballroom. We really wanted to stay local, and I think both of these places are really beautiful. It was quite a trial, though, to find a reception hall with the room to hold 200 people!


You know, there are many details and many things to think about. But, I have to remember that a wedding is done and over with in a matter of hours. A marriage lasts much longer. It is much more important to begin to prepare for a lifetime of commitment.

The planning begins...

Rob and I finally had a chance to sit down and start writing a guest list. That is SOO hard! We may have to (actually, we will) eliminate and cut down. Right now, we're aiming for 200. That's a big number people!

The Engagement

So, here are some pics of the "fake" jewerly Rob gave me along with me (very real) ring. I was so out of it that night, it took me a few minutes to realize that the 3rd ring was not from a quarter machine!

Not only do I have a beautiful ring, but I am getting married to the love of my life. I am so excited to start this journey and I am happy to be able to share it with you all!

It's official!

Ok, everyone. I have decided to keep a blog to keep you all up-to-date on my wedding plans. Yes, WEDDING plans!!!! I am so excited!

Our engagement is official as of last night, Wednesday the 28th. As soon as I get it all together, I'll post some sweet pics!
